The Chinese Embassy in South Sudan will update its visa application system and officially launch online visa application services on April 21, 2025. From that date onward, applicants may visit the website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Center at https://consular.mfa.gov.cn/VISA/ to enjoy the convenience of online form completion and online submission of application documents when applying for a Chinese visa. The visa application procedures are as follows:

I. Submitting Your Application Online

With your personal email address you may sign up on the website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Center. Please log in with your account, fill the application form, submit the required documents following the instructions and check if your application has successfully passed the preliminary review.

Reminders:

1. The embassy may require further documents, so please closely follow the status of your application.

2. Two options will be offered when filling the application form: “Normal” and “Express”, which will only influence the process after you submit your passport at the embassy. The preliminary review will not be affected by the option you choose.

II. Submitting Your Passport at the Embassy

Please take your passport and other required documents to the embassy at the stage of “Passport to be submitted”. The working hours of Visa Section are from 8:30 am to 11:15 am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Our visa service could be temporarily suspended on Chinese festivals, and you may check the Holiday Notice on our official website.

Your fingerprints or other biometric information might be collected on your arrival at the embassy.

III. Collecting Your Passport and Visa

Please settle your payment of visa fees and collect your passport and visa at the embassy on the date indicated in the pick-up form.

From April 21, 2025, the former China Online Visa Application System will be deactivated in the Chinese Embassy in South Sudan. If you have already submitted your application on the former system, your documents can be submitted at the embassy before April 28, 2025.
