On May 6, 2024, the Handover Ceremony of the China-aided Project of Clement Mboro Bridge in South Sudan was held in Juba. H.E. Amb. MA Qiang attended the ceremony together with Hon. Simon Mijok Mijak, Minister of Roads and Bridges, Hon. Rizik Zachariah Hassan, Minister of Wildlife Conservation and Tourism, Hon. Sarah Cleto Hassan, Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State and Hon. Monday Semaya Kumba, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

Amb. MA Qiang pointed out that the transportation industry plays a fundamental, leading and strategic role, which is an important support and strong guarantee for economic and social development. After the completion of the bridge, it will save time for crossing the Jur River, connect people on both sides, increase employment opportunities, and inject new vitality into the local economic and social development. 

Amb. MA Qiang emphasized that under the Belt and Road Initiative and the Global Development Initiative proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, China and South Sudan will carry out cooperation in more areas and jointly pursue the building of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind.
